Welcome, lots of good information here and lots of answers that will help. What type of chicks do you have? There is always something to learn, no mater how long you have had chickens!

I have 7 all together, got 4 last year and 3 this year all different breeds. Put my new ones out mid may about 10 wks, separated the area in half until they got used to big girls they both have own coops. The area has been merged about month ago I still feed them separately in mornings fruit and veggies daily and they are socializing pretty good. My question is at night the big girls put theirselves to bed and last few nights the new ones sleep on top of the big girls coop! Why are they not going into own coop?
