Hi, I'm new here and looking for advice re Muscovy ducks....

If it has been two months (and you are sure), it's time to get rid of the eggs. Muscovies take 35 days to hatch their eggs. I would give them 40 days at most. Rotten eggs are the worst.
However, if she started laying 2 months ago to collect her clutch, your days might be off.
Do you know how to candle an egg? Good luck getting that from a broody muscovy though. :D

If 'for sure' it is 2 months, I would suggest tossing the eggs and removing nest materials. Have you seen your ducks mating ? Sometimes access to swimming water can help with the breeding process = some drakes are initially clumsy and inept at breeding. Yeah it happens with ducks too.

Recently acquired a pair of muscovy ducks - male and female. Need some advice as the female laid 15 eggs and then started sitting on them and it's now been nearly 2 months and none have hatched. She is in a nesting box in the hen house - her mate dutifully always near. What should I do? Any suggestions gratefully received. madefina
