(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chicken keeping and I'm so glad to be on this journey/first incubator babies hatched 4/21/21!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently 3, looking to add a few more soon!
(3) What breeds do you have?
A frisky Rhode Island Red hen and her adopted brother and sister silkie babies
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Learning about the chicken life cycle, learning to care for birds and seeing the incredible of variety breeds!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
beginner carpentry, hiking/nature, and learning to be more self sufficient
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
1 husband, 2 kids, 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 snake and (hopefully) many more chickens!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
So many of my chicken question searches bring me here, so it was about time to officially join the group!
