Hi, I registered on Backyard Chickens Yesterday. I've been looking at this site for a while and my mom has an account here too!
I really wanted my own account and she said that's fine. I've already started two topics and posted a few times, but I forgot to visit here. I've been using my tablet as well...and just got on my computer.

So I'm sorta new, if looking, not registering counts!

I'm pretty good at sexing and deciding the breed of chickens, as I have over 45 and lots of different breeds. Most of which are fancy for show...but we do have a few rescues and TSC stop in-s as well.

I'm very happy to be a part of this community and you'll find me in the "What Gender or Breed is this" Thread the most, as I am my County's Jr. Poultry Queen and I need to practice for fair in a few weeks.

Currently, I own 1 Pekin Duck of my own, and I set up a thread....wandering whether he truly is a drake. We rescued him.
I also had 5 chocolate muscovies, which are still babies, but I know we have 2 males and 3 females. And two Magpie's (a pair). The female is really tiny and 3 muscovies just died on Saturday, so we brought her inside.
I also own a pair of Red-Golden Pheasants.

The other 40 something are all kinds of chickens we raise and breed!

I love raising and breeding chickens. It all started with a pair of Silkie's for 4H in 2011. (They are both still with us)

~Thanks, PQ

(Poultry Queen refers to an earlier sentence!)

Welcome to BYC! This is the place to be when you have chickens, and you obviously have quite a few, as well as several other types of poultry. I'm a chicken person myself and don't know much about ducks (although I've had a few), magpies, or pheasants, but I have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to the flock. Glad to have you join us
