Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had neighborhood chickens most of my life and a pet chicken when I was in high school but this is the first time im starting my own flock.. I started my hatch on 4/12 and am on day 17. I'm about to go into lockdown and am very nervous.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None currently but received 18 eggs from my neighbor. 17 are currwntly still alive or I think they are anyway.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Not sure what breed they are
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I am working to make my 5 acres into a self sustainable property
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to fish, crochet, paint, and read
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm 30 married with 2 kids. I have 4 dogs 5 cats and a goat. Im a sahm but I volunteer for the local animal welfare services fostering neonatal kittens and orphaned wildlife until they can be placed for adoption or a rescue becomes available. Im currently fostering 10 kittwns
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been googling information during this hatch and this community forum keeps popping g up
