(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens. We have not received out first flock yet but we will be finishing our coop hopefully tonight then picking up our chickens this coming weekend.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
0.... will have 20 by this time next week though!!
(3) What breeds do you have?
The chickens we are getting will be leghorn/ jersey giant crossed
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Came up on a google search about the chicken breeds.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, hunting, fishing, relaxing and camping.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am 30, living part time with my boyfriend of 5 years (he works away) we have two dobermans, one inside cat and 1.5 farm cats. The .5 is George and he only stops by once or twice a month. Then depending on the time the farm cat has kittens too. We are both into hunting and fishing and have a decent sized garden. We are looking for a quarter section between the two towns we work in where we can have a set up to be more self sufficient and live off the land.
