Hi I'm new

Hello everyone! I'm NoodlesMama and I'm new to Backyard Chickens as well as chicken keeping in general. It all started when my neighbor got more chickens than they were hoping for and gave me one. My husband was not amused at all but has since come round to the idea and fallen in love with our growing flock. I say growing because soon after the first one stole our hearts we ordered 5 more chicks of our own, darn chicken math lol. We currently have 6 chickens Athena our silver laced wyandotte, Henriette our lovely barred plymouth rock, Pip our porcelain d'Uccle bantam, Millie our mille fluer d'Uccle bantam, Miss Frizzle our black frizzle cochin bantam and last but not least little Noodle our mottled cochin bantam. In the fall we are expecting a few silkies and an Easter egger, I can hardly wait.
