Step one will be figuring out their secure, properly sized housing and run. I would start on that first while you consider what breed(s) you want to get in the spring.

We have had chickens before. It's been almost 2 yrs. I got up one morning and something got into the pen and killed everything I had. 18 chickens in all. I miss them so much.
I want a super duper predator proof run and coop before we go into this again.

I want to get Salmon Faverolles. I would like bantams and standard. They are so pretty to me.

I am in middle Georgia. Forsyth, small town. We live out on 21 acres.
