Hi, everyone! I'm new here on this website (and chicken keeping) and I would like to introduce myself!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens! Got my first chicks a few days ago (March 22nd, my birthday!)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have four chicks!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have two buff orpingtons and two silver-laced wyandottes
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I've always liked the aspect of farm-fresh eggs and I hear that chickens also make wonderful pets, I've only had mine for a few days but I love them already
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like playing games! I particularly enjoy farming simulators like Harvest Moon: Magical Melody and Stardew Valley. Playing Harvest Moon as a kid is what actually made me want to start a farm in the first place!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have an older brother that also raises chickens, he's gonna help guide me on my journey and I hope to raise a wonderful flock
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I first found this website yesterday when googling what kind of toys chicks liked! I actually saw people recomending feather dusters so I got one for my chicks and they love it a lot!
