I'm glad I found thus site I found so much more food I can feed my chickens instead of the same food every day

Actually chickens do eat the same food everyday. The commercial products are made to meet their nutritional needs.

They are like children with candy. the more treats they get, the less good food they eat. I notice people love to feed animals. I think it gives humans a deep feeling of satisfaction when they rush to eat whatever we offer them. Otherwise they would be perfectly content to eat what's healthiest for them.

Treats should not make up more than 10% of their diet.

I agree with drumstick diva. While the list of treats chickens can have is endless, be sure that they aren't overfed. Their chicken food is what they really need.
