Hi I'm terrie. I have only one chick. She was abandoned by the mother after a dog chased them and the chick got separated. I have had her a month now.

I understand. This is the first time she has done this. I have chicken starter but she also eats greens and tortillas and whatever else is around. She follows me and my dog. We play with her and she plays with us. She is never left alone unless she goes into bed at night. But because of the distress she is in she will be in bed with me. She's most comfortable on my shoulder. It's here she sleeps sometimes and also is where she gets warm. I did visit a farmers store and got advise on what is needed to feed her and keep her in healthy shape. That's where I got the feed and probiotic packets.

Okay great! She is doing just fine im sure! You might also wanna get her a friend if you can't always be there, chickens do better together then alone. But if you hangout w/ her 24/7 she will be totally fine. Also make sure to get her outdoors! Its very important for chickens to get outside. Just probably don't leave her alone because she is young still.
