Hi all,

I am totally new to this and I'm scared to death im going to mess it up! Somehow I think newborn babies are waaaay easier than chicks!

We got our 12 babies when they were roughly 2.5 weeks old. They're 4 weeks old now. I have a couple questions about them, but I think I'll post those in other forums.

Anyway, here are our girls (hopefully they're all girls)!

Nice to join you all!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Your chicks are adorable and you'll do fine with them. Just check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there that will keep you from making beginners' mistakes. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Awww...they are adorable! It is natural to be a nervous parent! As many times as I have brooded chicks, I STILL get up in the night at the slightest noise or just to check on the heat at midnight. LOL I worry over them on their first night in the coop all alone, I am just a nervous momma!

Definitely do some reading in our learning center. Michael has left you with the link. Lots of good articles on all the aspects of raising chickens. And here is another article from our learning center you might like to read now on raising your new babies for the first 60 days...https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/...ks-the-first-60-days-of-raising-baby-chickens

Enjoy your new babies! If you have any questions about them along the way, feel free to ask around the forums. Welcome to our flock!
