Hi, I am new to your site. My horse farrier just tole me about you, said yall mite be able to help me.
I live in the country outside Henderson with my British hubby, daughter Sarah, and grandson Aiden.
I have had chickens on and off for many many years. I once moved cross country from Phoenix AZ to Aztec N.M. with 2 u hauls. We had 2 Dashounds with 4 puppies, 5 cats, 13 rabbits, 1 per mouse, an tank of fish and 17 chickens.Broke down 3 times once on the Indian reservation and were rescued by a nice Navajo on horse back. Al critters made it after 2 days of travel except the fish...sigh
I used to love taking care of my babies but now i am in a wheel chair so my 18 yr old is trying to handle the critters. We now have several cats that the neighbors sweetly moved away and left us with...grrr. Sarah (daughter) has 5 horses, 2 donkeys and a goose. We are also allowed to live here with 1 dashound, Bellove, 2 chihuahuas, Baby and Emma Lee, a yellow lab named Lucy. A guinna fowl named Henry And of course My one remaining rooster (the reason Im joining as he is sick) named Cogburn.
We lost our stable 2 months ago when it was hit by lightning. Sarah was inside when it hit and it went up fast! She got her two young horses out safely. Before it was said and done we had 3 fire trucks here. Chanel 7 news has it on there web site.
I look forward to reading your posts and am happy to find a group of chicken lovers at last!
