I am just about to purchase land and will be starting chickens for the first time. My goal is eggs, not meat. I will eventually raise rabbits for meat, once my garden beds and chickens are established. Thanks for having me. I suspect I will have lots of questions!
 
BTW - the picture is of my sister's rooster. He's so handsome I had to borrow her pic until I get my hens :-)
 
Welcome to the flock :) they are tons of fun, you just have no idea how much until you get the fuzzy little babies! Lol you'll love them

I'm with you on not wanting to raise chickens for meat. I could never kill and eat my flock! I love them too much. And their eggs last a lot longer than their meat!
