BYC can change your email to the new one and let you use whichever name you would like letting you keep you history. That once was my day job doing things like that managing data bases.

Problem is I can’t remember my password and the change password email never came through either, and I need it to change the email

You simply need to use the contact us button and communicate with them. They do the rest. You just need to give them your old email first. It's not that hard really. They can fix it and I think be happy to accommodate. It's certainly worth a try.

I trying to resolve a similar personal problem at another site that I use a lot 20 years ago and don't know a password. I think I've got enough info to get it fixed. I'm going to try as a lot of $$'s are riding on getting it fixed. I can't afford to lose the history as it reflects on reputation on a buying/selling site.

I agree. If they get it back for you, then you're back to where the vast majority of your history is, and you could either delete this acct, or write the info down somewhere and hang onto it in case something ever happens again.

I’ll give it a try, but it’s not super crucial to get my old account back
