In the Brooder
1) We are new to chickens although my husband used to help his grandpa with his chickens when he was a small boy. He carried live chickens around the neighborhood for sale. We were given some chickens about 2 weeks ago.
2) We have 8 hens and a rooster
3) We have no idea what breeds they are.
4) We found out about Backyard Chickens in the magazine "Chickens".
5) Some of my hobbies are cooking, baking, sewing, and reading.
6) We have about 7.5 acres in East Texas and my husband and I live in the main house. Our daughter and grandson live in a mobile home on our property. Another young single mother lives with her 2 children in another mobile home, also on the property. We have 3 dogs on the property between all of us. My husband and I are retired, however I have a website where I sell organic, non-gmo, and gluten free products. My husband does part-time on-site repair on rv's.
