I never thought I’d be a chicken lady but it’s official I am. 🤣I got my first chicks ever the end of March. 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 2 Black Australorps. I’m oddly a little afraid of birds so my goal was getting and raising the friendliest and best egg producers. No eggs yet, they are 8 and 9 wks old now. I got the EE’s a week before the others, that was stressful but all turnout. 😅 They are now my babies and I love them so much. They all love to be picked up, held, and petted to a certain degree, some more than others. Each breed or kind I have has one bigger than the other. Hopefully all pullets but I guess we shall see. I worry some or all will be Roos frequently, it actually keeps me up at night. I was told they were addictive, I didn’t believe it. I can’t wait till next year, I already want more.🤪🤣 Maybe a Black Copper Marans, Cuckoo Marans, Welsummer, Olive Egger, Barnevelder, some Laced Wyandottes? Got to collect them all. 😁

Thanks! Even though this is my first post. This is already home.😁 🐥 🏠 I couldn’t have gotten through those first couple weeks without this site. The advice I found on here was priceless.
Hi Brooksy21, I’m new to incubation and this site has taught me bunches! I have 3 bantam eggs incubating now ( in lockdown) — hoping for a good batch. Mom went broody, then decided after ( maybe day 13) said “ I’m done”! Thank God this site includes incubation info and I bought an incubator. I’m excited about the lockdown and hatch but, terrified I’m doing something wrong with humidity etc.
thanks for joining!
