I currently have 5 Pekin ducks and 2 peafowls. I have had chickens in the past, and enjoyed raising them but I prefer peafowls and ducks now. I own my own home on 7 acers with a acer pond! I have had my ducks for about a year! I have had my Silver pied peacock (Mulder) for 9 months and my white peahen (Scully) for about 3 months.
I have a 12 year old daughter named Aubree and my amazing husband Ted! I was medically retired out of the US Army about 4 years ago, I decided to go to college and just graduated with my Bachelors degree in Business Management!
I found BYC last night when I was looking for peafowl eggs! as I have decided to attempt to hatch and raise peachicks! I decided to join because I am always wanting to educate myself about my ducks and Peafowls!

It is a work in progress, I am currently fighting duckweek. I believe I have it under control now though. I am using Tsunami DQ, and have seen amazing results. I also just put a 3000 gph pump in the pond to help aerate and circulate the water!
