I have been a backyard chicken lady for 3 years now and am always looking for more information. I am wanting to add some silkies. I live in a small town so roosters are not allowed in town due to one of the neighbors letting go his run loose in town so now they are banned. But hens are OK.

Nice to meet you Mary. You could try posting on the "Silkie thread," and also your state thread. To find either or both put the name in the search box and they will pop up.

BYC does have a Buy, Sell & Trade Forum but I believe you need at least 20 posts before you can participate:

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
