My name is Patrina and I live in Apache Junction Arizona. (about 60 miles east of Phoenix)
I have had chickens for about a year now, but I recently decided to double the size of my flock!
I am having so much fun with these wonderful girls!
I now have a flock of 15 hens: 4 Amerucanas, 3 Cinnamon Queens, 2 Black Austrolorps, 1 Light Brahma, 1 Buff Orpington,
1 Silver Wyandott, 1 Blue Copper Marans, 1 1 Wheaten Marans, and 1 Black Copper Marans.
All of my girls are being raised for their eggs. I can't eat something I give a name to. They are all so much fun to watch (except when they are being mean to the newbies)
My husband and I have been married almost 32 years, and living here in AZ for the last 8. Our family also includes
2 very spoiled but wonderful Boston Terriers: Leo and Lola
I also have a small orchard in my backyard, 8 citrus trees and 7 soft fruit trees. I grow vegetables in raised beds, the only way I can keep the dogs from eating my veggies! I like to cook and make jams and jellies. I am also a novice quilter.
I think this is pretty much everything. I love having my mini farm here at home. My yard is my sanctuary where I feel close to God.
May His love be a blessing to all of you!
