Hi! New Chicken Mama..

I am brand new to chickens! I have a flock of 12. Chicken math got me pretty quickly. I started with 5 straight run chicks from TSC, a week later I got 4 more. Then a week after that I had a friend give me 3 pullets.

I have:
3 Buff Orpingtons
3 Light Brahmas
2 Golden Laced Wyandottes
1 Rhode Island Red
1 Jersey Giant
1 Lemon Cuckoo
1 Sapphire Splash

We have our flock as pets and for eggs. I love watching them - they actually make me laugh with their little personalities and antics.

Us humans are a family of 6. My husband and I plus our 4 kiddos ranging from teens to a toddler. Other than our flock, we have 2 cats and a dog.

BYC comes up within all the chicken FB groups I’ve become a part of! Excited to connect and learn.
