Hello! I’m Day and I’ve been keeping chickens for 2 years. I’m autistic and animals have been my intense interest since I was little. Being autistic makes it so I can connect to animals on a different level. I have been wanting chickens and ducks since I was 6 years old and now I finally get to keep them. :celebrate I’m currently going to highschool and college at the same time and hoping to become an ornithologist with my goal being to write a more detailed book of research on chickens! Most scientific books I found really do not provide enough information on chickens I feel and I would love to educate the world on the intelligence and emotions of chickens. Here are my girls! Two golden comets, production red, and a moonbeam bantam! I love them all so much and let them inside quite frequently and they love to lay down on the couch and bed and hang out with me

It's wonderful that you have such a connection with animals. As a child, I was much more comfortable with those than with people.

I applaud your goals of becoming an ornithologist and of writing a book, and I want to warmly welcome you to BYC, Day!

All of your girls are lovely. I've never seen a Moonbeam Bantam before, but that one is simply gorgeous!!
