I started in September this year and now I am hooked
I live in Surrey in the UK. Started with the intention of getting 3-4 birds but came home with 9. We now have 13 and am upgrading the coop to get a few more.
Most of my birds are bizzas, certainly not show quality, but I think but they are all lovely. I currently have 13 birds, 2 Hybrid Sussex (light and black), 2 Brahmas, 2 Cream Legbars (possibly, see other question https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=599448), 5 Bantums and a pair of Barbu D'uccles.
Only 2 are laying at present, one of the Sussex and one of the barbies. The barbie is funny as she makes an absolute fuss everytime she lays an egg.
