Hi, New Member Here!!!

Hi Everyone,

I just figured I would drop in and say hello. I never thought I would have chickens & can honestly say I never really liked them... But as life would have it, I bought my MIL (who I also call Crazy Chicken Lady) new chicks of various different breeds for her birthday, then she went out and bought more. We live on the same farm together so she decided that I would take half & she would keep the other. Her flock went from 6 Chickens and 2 Ducks to now 36 chickens & 2 Ducks. So needless to say I now have chickens lol.

My kids are ecstatic & my husband is looking forward to building our coop.

We have tons of various breeds but that one I am most taken with is the Modern that I picked up, her name is Mortica & is a smoke gray, and loves to ride around on my shoulder. She is only about 5-6 weeks old & is such an attention hog, plus the biggest trouble maker... she is also teaching the other chicks to jump out of the box! Lol

Anyways, I am very excited to be apart of the community!
