(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new to chickens & we got our first chickens June 2nd 2017

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
10

(3) What breeds do you have?
We currently have:
1 partridge rock
1 Easter Egger
1 buff Orpington
3 black/blue silkies
4 guinea fowl

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
A friend who helped us acquire the chickens & has chickens herself. She has been an incredible help, full of advice and recommended this site for the tremendous amount of help/advice here in BYC:frow

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I've been a stay at home mom for almost 20 years & now that we have "extra" time, we figured it's time to start again...with chicks!
 
Hello, and welcome to BYC! Aren't chickens so much fun to watch? I am in SW Virginia, clearing out some brush so i can build a coop. Where are you located? They have separate sites for different states so you can check out what others in your area are up to. Enjoy!

We're in NY, thank you all for the separate sites for different states....I knew this was the best place to start lol as of course I didn't even think about that :rolleyes: (just shows how fried/distracted I am between kids & my growing obsession with chickens!) :love
