Hi - I'm a new member. Not new to chickens though. My dad was a wannabe hobby farmer when i was little, and i had my first pet chicken 'Phoenix' when I was little. We've had a small group of chickens in the backyard now for about 8 years, all pets, and an assortment of interesting banties, brahmas, cochins, one jungle fowl, and one full size brahma. They are all pets, hand fed, (and spoiled rotten). Sadly - we are roosterless due to city regulations. (We had the greatest rooster in the world - Underfoot, so named because he was constantly underfoot like a puppy.). Underfoot is now the beloved pet of an 8 year old boy outside the city limits.
