Well, new sort of new to having chickens. We got a coop, and 6 babies about a month ago and lost all six. Then got two more, and lost 1, and now got another 3, so have four, thus the 4H'sKeeper. We have a 3.5 week old black orpington, and the 3 babies, one RIR and two surprises. Decided to name them Harley, Henrietta, Hazel and Hattie.

All are very cute, and thriving this time around.

Last time I remember having chickens I was 6 years old. So through the help of this site and other members, hoping for some good advice. We are raising them solely for the eggs. I eat alot of eggs, and have started eating organic, and less processed foods.

I'm married, have a three year old, who loves the babies, and 4 cats. One of our cats just had to see what that babies where, and so I let her, and she flipped out, they scared her to death. Big sissy cat. Right now they are residing in our bathroom til old enough to live outside.

Say hi to our mini flock.
