It sounds like you have a nice flock of lovely breeds. You picked wisely for your climate.

I remember having to clean pasty butt too. Not fun but it's necessary.

I'm having a little problem with one of my baby white rocks. I posted in the raising chicks thread. I'll definitely watch the leghorns in winter! Thanks for that tip!
We've had really mild winters these last couple of years. I live on the Kenai peninsula so it's not as cold here as the interior. :)
Glad there is a group here for Alaskans. I'll. e sure to check that out.
