hi all, I'm new to the forum and sort of new to the chicken world. I got 6 red sex-link chicks last year, sadly lost 2 of them to foxes this year. Just had 11 chicks hatch out of eggs that I got from another lady. I don't know what these are - I know the rooster she had was a Black Langshan but she had several different breeds of hens.

I found Backyard Chickens a while back but just read the forums, never posted. With these new chicks that just hatched, I had to come on and share their story (two of the hens sat on the eggs, hatched them out and are sharing care).

We have a dog and 2 horses that the chickens share the barn with.

I look forward to meeting others here.

What a cool story, about the two mamas sharing chicks! Welcome to BYC! You are now in our worldwide flock of educators, enthusiasts, and crazy chicken people! Feel free to post pics of your new chicks and we will gladly interpret their breeds! Can't wait to hear more about you! :welcome
Best of luck, Cassie

Thank you, I just put 2 pics of them there too. I can't wait to see how these chicks will look as they grow.
