Well it sounds like you got the start of a great pen and run for chickens. I didn't know much about building before I started to build mine and it turned out I had a new hobby building stuff after that. My DH works a lot and does not have time to help me with these things but he enjoys that I am down to earth and love raising chickens and he loves the tasty eggs.
