My name is Paige. I live in the San Fernando Valley (specifically, Van Nuys) in Southern California. My new husband and I (been married a week and a half and have called him my husband three times now! haha) rent a house with a decent backyard for the city. We own three American Pit Bull Terriers and a cat...no kids yet
I've been bugging DH for a while about wanting some chickens for eggs but he was extremely hesitant. He's a farmboy from North Dakota and I guess he doesn't have fond memories of chickens. Last week a friend offered me three ducklings and I just then realized that I could eat duck eggs too. He doesn't mind ducks so said I could get them.
Well, my friends ducklings turned out to be all male so I didn't get them but now I've been bitten by this duck bug! I ordered one Rouen, one Cayuga, and two Khaki Campbell girls last Friday and they will be here next Tuesday In the meantime my husband is building a coop/run in the backyard and I'm so excited!
