all of my local feed stores are into like, game roosters and such... so they recommended me to feed them stuff like, chaves mix, cuido mix, high octane and stuff... so i found this one mix called junior mix... it's like 38% protein... srsly, it's crazy... but they told me that it's better for the chickens... well, i dunno... so far i've been giving them a junior mix/chicken scratch mix... but now i'm thinking about getting some lay pellets... but i dunno yet...
i'm not into eating the eggs... i just want the chickens to look their best, be healthy, and lay fertile eggs... i have OEGB's... is this food bad for them...?
i googled for an hour already using different terms like, gamecock feed, high octane feed, chaves mix, nothing... i can't find anything useful... i will see if i still have the label of the food somewhere and post the ingredients and everything up here... but still... what would be a better food...? i do NOT fight them... i just had to put that up on there... it seems that everyone around here is into fighting roosters... i dunno if they fight theirs, but mine are bantams and they're cute and stuff... LOL... so what should i do..? change the food all together...? or feed them a junior/pellet mix...? and what should i look for in a food... i know there are hundreds of threads, but if you feel like answering my questions that would rock... tee hee...
thanks in advance...
