Hello! I’ve just gotten back into chickens and ducks after not having them for over 5 years.
Started back up with a pretty mixed flock. Just brought home a trio of blue partridge brahmas, and then “inherited” some older birds from a friend.
Still want to get a few more for egg laying and then also some natural brooders. Any breed suggestions welcome!

Welcome to BYC!!

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad to have you here!

Congrats on the new flock and welcome back to chicken keeping! Your birds are beautiful.

I suggest Barred Rocks for eggs. They are also very sweet and friendly birds for the most part, and cold hardy as well if that happens to be an important quality for you. (I have a few that are a little bit flighty, but I find that the ones that I handle frequently do become much calmer and friendlier.)
