Hello my name is Alex, my family had laying hens while I grew up and now my wife and I are in our own home with our daughter and we have our own flock of sex link hens. We have 5 bovan Browns a year old laying beautifully, 7 hyline brown pullets 21 weeks just started laying two weeks ago and we just picked up 12 more RIR hybrid meat/laying hens last night for a total of 24. We are from Vancouver bc Canada, and proud of it ! Thanks for all the helpful material so far and in advance with the help I'm sure to receive !

Hi Alex very nice to meet you. Glad you joined us at Backyard chickens. BYC also has a thread: "Canadians, check-in-here." To keep you up to date on your area.

Hi Alex and welcome to our community. It seems that, like the rest of us, you are not immune to chicken maths

Nice to meet you Alex! Make yourself at home here. Definitely follow the links that others have provided.

And if you still have any questions about things, feel free to ask.

So pull up a roost bar and welcome to our flock! :)
