Greetings from Florida!
This account is shared jointly between my parents and I.
'I' referring to their daughter xD who will probably be using it the most

I am going into my last two years of High School. I was in an Agriscience Program for the first two years- but unfortunately the Animal Teacher is being cut this year and the other teacher isn't all that hip into animals. Because they plan to downsize our 'animal area' and coupled with the fact that no one will be at the school during the summer to be there everyday- I am transferring schools, and taking my nine chickens home because my new school does not have a program like my old one.

Neither I or my parents have much experience in raising chickens. I just went through my first year of showing the three older ones in the County Fair in February and I did very well (First and Second Places all around) in all of the shows that I did. I recently just bought the younger six (before we got the news that my teacher was being cut) in Arcadia at Chicken Swap Meet type function.

So hello there! I hope that our total newbness does not scare anyone off =P

And some pictures of all of our babies....

The Three Older ones, all born approximately around December 1st, 2008

Jett, our male black Cochin (Bantam).

The Six Younger ones, all born approximately around May 12th, 2009. None are apparently related, we were told. I do believe they are still too young to know their ages, so we gave them all unisex names.
