Have had Peking Bantam girls for going on nearly 2 years, this summer I thought it would be a great idea and purchase some hatching eggs for my broody hen, out of six eggs 4 hatched!!

They are 8 week's old now and I'm looking forward or not to see if they are boy's or girls!

It's great to be a member thank you! Ok so I have a couple of pictures to show you as out of the 4 chicks that hatched we have an odd one out! You can see clearly the other three bantams but what's this massive white one? Bearing in mind this chick was the last to hatch, and we watched the lady that sold us the eggs get them from underneath the lemon bantam hen? And ideas what it is ??

So glad you could join our community!

Your flock is beautiful. Congrats on the broody hatch too. Nothing cuter than a broody and her babies.

Make yourself at home her and we do welcome you to our flock!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You can post pictures of your mystery bird for help with figuring out what it is https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this if the lady had standard breed birds, it could be that a standard bird laid eggs in the bantam's nest, or maybe got bred by a standard bird... sometimes even if the parents are small, if you have crosses especially, you'll wind up with a range of sizes.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Congratulations on the successful hatch.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.
