Well, it took a few months of negotiations and a trip to the Mother Earth News Fair to see Joel Salatin speak but my wonderful (yet hesitant) hubby finally said "yes" to chickens! I had 5 chick on order the next day
In no time he was also hooked! He built an amazing poultry palace for our ladies out of a free wooden playhouse. (pics attached) It's better built than our own home! I know I've seen a chicken or two on properties in the area but I don't know any chicken owners first hand. Anyone from the Harleysville area? I'd love to connect with someone from the area - especially about predator control and tractoring/pasture pens. So glad to be a part of this amazing community!!!
