Welcome. I'm not too good with vet answers, but I soak my hens for 20 min in warm epsom salt water.

It can be. I have been lucky enough. Just stay on top of any type of illness.

I'm actually treating my Ameraucana hen right now as I type this. broken egg inside her,, messy work. she's in a towel drying at the moment

Epsom salt soaks are a start to clean up your hen but won't cure her.
