Welcome to BYC, Chrissy. Glad you decided to join our flock. You're Frizzle chickens are adorable. I've never owned Frizzles, but I have raised Orpingtons for years and love them for their beauty and friendly, gentle personality. My children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of ours. If you want to inquire regarding Orpingtons, you can get in touch with fellow members in your area at https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=auckland,+new+zealand. Also, when you reach 20 posts, you can post your request on our Buy, Sell, and Trade section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/67/buy-sell-trade. You can accumulate posts quickly by greeting new members on this section. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your Orpingtons.

Thanks very much Michael! :)

What beautiful frizzles you have! What breed are they?

The difference in where the two of you live may be a source of confusion regarding drumstick diva's question. In the USA, Frizzles are not recognized as a separate breed, but only as a plumage pattern commonly found in Cochins, whereas in many European countries, Frizzles are recognized as a completely separate breed. Based on 6 Frizzles answer, I suspect that this is likely the case in New Zealand as well.
