Hi there, needing some HELP (please help) with my girls :)

Instead of spending money on the expensive eye ointment, simply use some triple antibiotic ointment in her eyes. It's exactly the same formula that opthalmic ointment made for humans contains. DO NOT USE one that has the pain reliever in it. If you can bring the girl in that isn't doing well and put her in a nice warm place that will help her heal. Chickens can't regulate their own heat when they are sick. Mix some sugar and a little salt in her water. Or give her some pedialyte mixed in her water. Also lightly scramble an egg, not hard, and offer it to her to eat.
I agree the heated dog bowls are the best option for an inexpensive and safer way to keep the birds water thawed. If you are still having problems with extreme cold let the girls go out during the day if they can. And don't shut the coop up tight because that can cause more problems than it solves.

Thank you all so much for your great advice and concern. What a wonderful group of pepole you all are. I'm happy to report that my little lemon opened her eye today! Not fully, but the eyeball is still intact. Such a relief. .. she has some healing to do but I'm so glad she didn't loose the eye!
On a side note, the ointment made their heads very dirty looking today. But they both came out this morning and were eating. Yay!

That is awesome news. Don’t worry about her head being dirty! Everyone who’s been warding off frostbite this month also have birds with dirty head feathers.
Dust bathing will help that and if all else fails, a dab of tearless baby shampoo on a soft warm wet washcloth will help too. But not now. After the cold weather has passed.
In the meantime, keep treating her eye to keep the infection at bay or for at least 5 days.
