Hi! I've been referencing this site for the past year and a half when I got my first two hens. You all are a wealth of information and have been so helpful to this lurker! One of my hens died and I now have a new baby to join my older hen. I'm now a newbie all over again figuring out how to integrate the two. So thank you in advance.

Welcome to BYC!

The easiest way to integrate is the "look/don't touch" method where the birds can see each other but no one gets close enough to cause injury. You don't say how old the 2 chickens are, but you may have to keep them separate several weeks until the little catches up some in size to the bigger.

On another note, if you'd like to say "hi" to some other FL members, you can find them here:

Hope things go well for you, nice to have you join us!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining.) I'm sorry for the loss of your hen. It's always sad to lose one of our flock. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in integrating your two birds.
