unfortunately, we cannot have roosters in city limits, whatsoever. i can have up to 8 adult birds at a time. i currently have some autosexing hybrids because of the no roo rule, i didn't want to get attached and then have to rehome. 2 dominant coppers, 2 sapphires and the hen checking out the camera is an isa hen. now that the molt is over we're getting around 5 eggs a day. i'm sure they'll slow down as winter advancesHi Kismit, welcome to BYC.
Love to hear and see more of your flock.
I live in a city too and have 6 small bantams. We (in the Netherlands) have no rules on hens as long as the chickens have enough space and are well taken care for.
Roosters within town boundaries are allowed as long as nobody complains. Here it’s always best to ask the neighbours in advance if a rooster is all right.
What breeds do you have?
Will you consider to buy hatchery eggs when you want more chickens? My neighbours always gave me enough time to give away the chicks that turn into cockerels.

part of the things that i applied when i was figuring out our coop and run size was to over shoot the total number of square footage per bird by as much as possible and to make the set up look "cute And fully functional" since people are more inclined to be forgiving of egg song if the place its coming out of is appealing to the eye. i need to fine tune it a bit but so far, so good!
