Hello, I’m a new chicken mamma! I recently purchased 24 chicks. They are so super cute and tiny. Then I thought it would be fun to get more and sneak them into the brooder to see if the kids would notice. They didn’t and now I have 33 layers and 20 broilers. I might have gotten carried away! So we had to tear out the old coop that was in the barn and are rebuilding as fast as possible to get the chicks into their new home before they outgrow the brooder. I will be asking you guys lots of questions, I hope you are ready for it!

Oh my, sounds like "chicken math," hit you hard & fast.Yeah but, you have 20 broilers so they won't be staying around long. The 33 layers are certainly less than 100 or 200 chickens - consider yourself lucky - for now.
