I am new chicken owner. Got chicks the end of April this year. Started out with 22…figured out quickly that was too many for me, so I rehomed 6. Which is still too many for just my husband and I. We give away a lot of eggs!!!
We live in Iowa on 13 acres. Have 3 dogs. Have a big garden. Have a big run for the chickens… not brave enough yet to let them free range. Maybe next year.
