Hi everybody! I've been lurking on here for a few weeks and learned so much I wanted to join! I am fairly new to chickens...had a bantam pair as a child...but I've always loved them and now I live out in the country so I acquired a motley crew of chickens and one duck! :) I have 2 Barred Rock/Dominique cross pullets, a bantam pullet (not sure of exactly what kind she is), and a young female mallard given to me by a family member who needed to rehome them, along with a White Rock hen, a black Australorp hen, a black Sex Link hen, and a pair of Naked Necks. I've had them for almost a month now and they've adjusted themselves into a happy flock with a great love for blueberries! Love this site! :)
 
Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You've got a nice mixed flock. I especially love the Black Australorps and the Black Sex Links as they are very hardy, friendly, egg laying machines. I have seven of each in my flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about ducks (although I've had a few), but I have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute.
