I am a lifelong animal Lover and not really new to chickens. I have kept a small flock of 6 chickens many years ago but because of certain circumstances I placed them in a new home after about 18 months. Now, jump ahead several years, and I've decided to get a small flock for my backyard. I am not a professional chicken keeper by any means but I know a fair amount about them, and learning more and more every day. I love learning about all the different breeds and caring for them properly. Im excited to meet other poultry lovers here on the BYC platform and learn much more about keeping chickens Happy, Safe & Healthy.
