Thanks evrybody! I candled my eggs tonight (day 7) and 8 out of 9 look to be on schedule. I think one is scrambled but giving it a few more days before giving up hope!

That's a handsome rooster!  The Rhode Island Red is such an excellent breed of chicken. My hatchery Rhode Island Red has been a very good egg layer and has had a decent tempearment. Good to hear that you've been enjoying yours, too.

Incubating eggs can be lots of fun (and addicting!)! Hope the rest of the incubation and hatching goes well. How many eggs are in the incubator?

I have 9 eggs incubating. I think 1 is scrambled but others are doing well

I'm soooooo happy to report that all 9 of my eggs hatched!! 100% hatch rate on my first try!! One eggcited chicken mama!!
