Hello to everyone
thumbsup.gif
I am Julie from the Lancashire uk, married with 3 grown up boys, 5 dogs.

I am so glad I found this fantastic forum full of information and fantastic photo's of everyones chickens and coops. I am very new to keeping chickens, in fact just picked up my two buff Silkies this morning. I have already fallen for them in every way (well whats not to love?). I am also picking up two lemon milliefleur sablepoot bantams in 3 weeks time.
I have been lurking for a few weeks now reading up on everything but still have lots of questions to ask or find out lol

Hi :welcome Julie from Yorkshire UK

Glad you could join the flock! Congratulations on getting your chicken adventures underway :celebrate I don't keep silkies myself but a friend has a trio and they are very beutiful and friendly birds. I'm sure you are going to enjoy keeping chickens very much. It's a fantastic hobby, very rewarding and lots of fun.

Wishing you the very best of luck with them in the future, be sure to ask any questions that you may have. Everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Thanks for your lovely welcome, I only got them yesterday and already they appear more calmer and eating out of our hands (may be due to them being picked up and petted every few hours lol) these are going to be mailnly pets but if we can get a few eggs out of them, then thats a bonus ;) I read silkies dont start laying untill late so I will have to wait a while hahah
