It only took one visit to BYC to make me want to be part of such a friendly and positive community. I have 2 Sussex hens - a Buff (Betsy Bloomers) and a Light (Queenie Violet) otherwise known as The Two Fat Ladies. They are big friendly fluffy-bummed girls who are laying practically every day. I live in Brisbane, Australia - hence Kookaburra (though actually my girls aren't keen on kookaburras and will freeze when they hear them laughing in the gum trees above the coop. Kookas are carnivorous and will eat young birds.) Looking forward to learning from the wealth of experience in the BYC community :) Susan

Greetings from Texas! I was in Australia briefly last year (mainly Sydney & Port Douglas), but didn't see any kookaburras. Saw lots of other colorful new birds though.
