Hi, total newbie here, and I love my Javas!!

Hi all! I just got my chickens 2 weeks ago (about 2 1/2 month old Javas.... 5 males, 3 females) and they are fun!

I'm planning on whittling it down to just one male and the 3 females, then maybe trying for some more chicks in the spring? I don't know, we'll see how everything works out. 7 of my chickens are black, and I have 1 white male.... and he's getting beat up

I'm planning on separating him out.

I also have 3 kids (ages 5, 3, and 1... boy, girl, boy) that love the chickens too.... they love to help me take care of them!!

Hoping to learn alot on this site!
